CHAPTER 17

Account Settings

While logged in, you can open the Account settings screen from the account menu at the top right of the Home screen → “Settings”.

  • Profile update — Change your display name and icon image.
  • Change login password — Change your account’s login password. Enter the password before and after the change.
  • Change encrypted password — Change the password used for encryption. It is a 6-digit PIN, and repeated or sequential digits are not allowed. You need this password when logging in on another device or reinstalling the app.
  • Encrypt key reset — If you lose your smartphone or similar, you can log in from a browser (web version) and reset the encryption key to protect your data.
    • After the confirmation “Are you sure you want to reset the encryption key? You will no longer be able to access existing projects, so please ask the project owner or an administrator to re-share the encryption key after the reset.”, enter your login password to run it.
    • After a reset, register a new encryption password (PIN). Then ask the project owner or an admin to re-share the encryption key (see Project Sharing).
  • Delete all projects (web version only) — Erases all data in projects you own (close the project before running).
  • Account deletion — Deletes your account. All projects you own are also deleted. Deleted data cannot be recovered, so export any data you need beforehand.

When you log in on another device (restoring the encryption key)

When you log in on another device or reinstall the app, the encryption password (PIN) input screen appears automatically. Entering your registered PIN restores the encryption key and lets you access your projects.

If you forget the PIN, proceed to resetting the encryption key from “Did you forget your password?”. Accessing existing projects will then require a re-share request.
